Research Seminar 03-RS-12CEIPDM
Course learning content:
- substantive and methodological specifics of the seminar and the principles of writing master's theses,
- presentation of thesis topics and discussion about them,
- students' choice of the thesis topic,
- discussion of key problems and contexts related to the thesis topic,
- presentation of thesis outlines/chapters or descriptions of research projects, combined with a discussion on their topic.

Efekty kształcenia
On successful completion of this course, a student will be able to:
- demonstrate a wide and contextualized knowledge necessary for independent implementation of a research project (writing a master's thesis),
- actively participate in a discussion related to the topics of the seminar, formulating their own views and referring to the opinions expressed by other members of the group,
- apply the rules of copyright law, as well as incorporate acquired data into their own work, critically and creatively process them while respecting the principles of intellectual property,
- find specialized information necessary for independent realization of a research project (writing a master's thesis),
- show the knowledge of the formal principles of editing a master's thesis (preparing a bibliography, footnotes, table of contents),
- prepare a summary / chapter of the master's thesis or to make a description of the research project.
Kryteria oceniania
Assessment criteria:
very good (bdb; 5,0): very high level of knowledge related to the topic of the seminar and its context, high methodological awareness, outstanding activity during classes, a very well thought-out project of the master's thesis, impeccable, in terms of form and language, thesis outline / chapter (rich and correctly ordered bibliography, well planned content layout) or description of the research project.
good plus (+db; 4,5): as above, permissible minor formal errors in the summary/chapter of the work or description of the research project.
good (db; 4,0): allowed slight lack of knowledge and methodological awareness, moderate activity during classes, a summary / chapter or description of the project correct, with minor formal and linguistic errors.
satisfactory plus (+dst; 3,5): slight lack of knowledge and methodological awareness, poor activity during classes, abstract / chapter or project description of average merit, with major formal and linguistic errors.
satisfactory (dst; 3,0): considerable lack of knowledge, low level of methodological awareness, summary / chapter or project description of the merits, with major formal and linguistic errors.
unsatisfactory (ndst; 2,0): unacceptable lack of knowledge, lack of activity during classes, lack of a summary / chapter of the thesis or description of the research project.
Literatura
Monographs, encyclopedias, dictionaries, studies and more - depending on the topic. As recommended by thesis supervisors, depending on the topic of the seminar.
