Professional status:

The graduate of the bachelor’s programme in European Communication possesses thorough knowledge in the domain of the humanities, in the fields of culture and religion sciences, particularly where they are concerned with interpersonal communication, language, functioning of the traditional media and the internet. The graduate knows the principles of building interpersonal relationships in culturally diverse environments. They possess the knowledge enabling them to formulate an effective media communication. They know and understand globalization processes which determine the shape of contemporary cultural dialogue. Graduates in European Communication has the skill to employ the acquired knowledge in practice. They are able to build interpersonal relationships at the juncture of cultures, using state-of-the-art means of communication skilfully and effectively. They are capable of applying knowledge of the cultural factors affecting contemporary interpersonal communication in various situations in their professional life. Thanks to open, interdisciplinary education, they possess the competence to work in creative teams, to manage or build such teams. Consequently, they may readily find employment in administration, cultural institutions, the media or the tourist industry. Thorough grounding in cultural dialogue enables the graduates to apply with international corporations which place emphasis on correct interpersonal relationships, as well as in other institutions where the element of cultural communication is crucial. The graduates also possess sufficient competence to enable personal development in a new, international work environment, having learned to foreign languages as part of the programme. Having completed the undergraduate program, they are ready to enrol for postgraduate studies and to learn continually, acquiring knowledge, skills and competences which are necessary for further intellectual and scholarly development.
