Professional status:
The graduate of Designing Culture has the ability to manage cultural projects at various levels—from local to national, including animation and promotional undertakings. They are able to comprehensively plan, organize and deliver cultural events, taking into account the needs of diverse social and age groups. They know how to obtain funding for cultural projects from both Polish and European sources, which will enable them to implement professional initiatives successfully.
Thanks to expanded knowledge of history and cultural heritage, the graduate has the skill to analyze cultural and social processes taking place in local and global environments, relying on the knowledge of factors that shape cultural identity in the local environment.
The graduate of Designing Culture is equipped to engage with the local environment: they are able to activate and animate local communities by initiating and carrying out various cultural activities. They are also competent in promoting cultural heritage of the region, country and Europe, using modern tools and technologies. Their ability to combine cultural traditions with contemporary trends and technologies will translate into innovative and creative approaches to the task of preserving and promoting cultural heritage. Developing strategies for the promotion of culture and cultural heritage is one of their key skills.
One of the crucial competences of the graduate is their ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with diverse social groups, cultural institutions and the media. They are conversant with state-of-the-art information and communication technologies in promoting cultural activities.
The graduate of Designing Culture tackles the problems and challenges relating to cultural heritage and contemporary culture in a creative and innovative fashion. They are certain to implement innovative solutions to protect and promote cultural heritage as well as initiate and deliver their own cultural projects, adapting to dynamically changing market conditions.
The graduate of Designing Culture may find employment with cultural institutions such as museums, galleries, cultural centres and theatres, as well as in local government units, non-governmental organizations, tourism and travel agencies, the media as well as PR and marketing agencies. Thanks to comprehensive education, they are prepared to carry out their own cultural and animation projects, which increases their attractiveness on the labour market.
