Professional status:
The graduate has knowledge in the field of art history, cultural history, history of civilization, cultural anthropology, philosophy of culture, historic studies and museology. The graduate has a comprehensive knowledge of art monuments and cultural goods, with particular emphasis on their substance, technical structure and artistic shape, as well as subsequent transformations. He also obtained competences in the field of social communication and legal grounds for the protection of cultural goods. During the first-cycle studies, the student of the Protection of Cultural Property acquired knowledge about the basic trends in the development of civilization and culture, including art, and the research methodology in this field. During this time, he also gained skills in the field of documentation of cultural heritage and the principles of its protection and shaping its image outside. The graduate of this field of study has a wide range of competences that allow him to work in various cultural institutions or institutions acting for the benefit of culture. He can work in various types of museums, but also in public relations departments of various institutions or foundations working for the benefit of cultural heritage; it can also create a policy of cultural heritage protection in local governments at various levels.
The graduate knows a foreign language at the B2 level of proficiency in the European System for the Description of Language Education of the Council of Europe.
