Upon completion of the course students will be able to:
· describe sounds of English phonetically and phonemically
· carry out a phonetic analysis of English words and phrases
· use basic phonetic terminology and the International Phonetic Alphabet
Assessment criteria
The course utilises on-going evaluation (based on timely completion of tasks on the Moodle e-learning platform) plus a final written exam.
