South African cultural studies: theory and practice 15-APSK-TIP-PA-11

This course offers an overview of issues related to South African cultural studies, points to challenges the European student is confronted with, and places the complex South African reality in a broader, global context. Its aim is to develop the student’s ability to understand how natural environment, historical and social developments influence the character of an ethnic group and their way of life. The selection of specific topics is made jointly by the course instructor and students.
