Learning outcomes
Upon completion of the course, the student:
1. Is able to effectively use the academic register of the selected academic discipline in both speech and writing
2. Is able to effectively summarize, paraphrase and synthesize information found in academic sources
3. Is able to present and discuss publicly research data and academic views
4. Is able to critically and appropriately respond to presentation contents and views of other researchers.
5. Understands the construction of a scientific text and is able to apply it – in particular to own BA diploma paper
6. Effectively edits and troubleshoots academic texts.

excellent (bdb; 5.0): very good practical knowledge of the spoken and written academic/scientific register; very good skills in presenting and discussing academic/research contents; very good skills in citing sources and referring to data in text and presentations; very good skills in scientific text editing and troubleshooting.
