Module learning aims

The objective of the course is the acquisition of the second language of specialization. The student learns about the grammatical system of the language, broadens knowledge of vocabulary and writing system as well as the pragmatic and cultural context. After the course the student achieves the A2 fluency level.

Learning outcomes

After the course the student:
Can use the course vocabulary in speaking and in writing and adapt it to communication context
Is able to write and read selected signs of the writing system
Can use selected grammar structures appropriately in a communication context (A2 level)
Translates and analyses texts as regards grammar and pragmatic content (A2 level)
Can understand single common sentences and expressionsrelated to everyday life (A2 level)
Can communicate in writing and create correct texts in a form of a letter and an essay
Is familiar with the basic grammar terminology

Assessment criteria

Term assessment based on: a series of control written tests.
Max. 2 absencies allowed per semester.
The final grade based on the result of the final examination in an oral and written form.

Bibliography

Delivered by the lecturer depending on the language taught.
