Chemistry of biomolecules 02-CBML
Student will become familiar with major classes of biomolecules such as amino acids, peptides and proteins, nucleic acids, carbohydrides and lipids. Special topic includes understanding of structure and function of biological membranes, inophores and trans-membrane transport. The knowledge of organic chemistry will be used to explain the synthesis and transformations of selected biomolecules.
