European Competition Law 10-ECL-w-Erasm
The course aims to provide the students with solid basic knowledge necessary to understand the present role of competition law and scope of its application in European Union.Students will get familiar with history and emergence of basic sources of EU competition law. Starting with provisions of the Treaties (primary legislation), throughout secondary legislation (especially regulations) and finally non-binding instruments the course shall present the overview of the current structure of EU competition law and its fundamental principles.The application of particular provisions shall be illustrated by a number of the most representative judgements of the Court of Justice and decisions of European Commission (case study).

Kryteria oceniania
Seminar (in class discussion based on readings, short lecture).Active class participation and a written paper or an oral presentation.
Students are expected to take part in all classes, one absence without an excuse note is permitted. Students are expected to read texts for classes and discuss it. Students are required to write a paper (1 page) with summary / analysis / questions concerning each reading.
Students will be evaluated according to active involvement in class discussions (50%), paper or an oral presentation (50%).
