Course learning content:
- presentation of connections of cultural/literary traditions between countries on the Balkan Peninsula and Europe on the basic level,
- presentation of discussed traditions in context of national and transnational ideas,
- using properly basic notions and terms in the field of theory of literature and theory of culture.

Efekty kształcenia
On successful completion of this course, a student will be able to:
- define and describe basic phenomena, traditions and contexts of cultures/literatures of countries on the Balkan Peninsula,
- connect, describe and qualify these phenomena, traditions and contexts,
- get skill at creating cultural and historical-literary synthesis and at finding phenomena and references in cultural texts,
- get skill at categorizing and contextualizing specific cultural and literary phenomena of countries on the Balkan Peninsula connecting them with analogous phenomena in other European cultures/literatures,
- compile knowledge, acquired during the classes; develop, explain and reconstruct cultural/literary phenomena in relation to other civilization circles,
- get skill at comparing cultural/literary phenomena and at formulating conclusions, explaining and interpreting these phenomena in wider historical-literary, political, historical, ideological context,
- analyze independently, interpret and evaluate creatively cultural/literary texts.
Kryteria oceniania
Assessment criteria:
very good (bdb; 5,0): excellent familiarity with problems discussed during the classes; very good skills at analyzing and interpreting literary texts; very good ability to express verbally and in writing opinion on South Slavonic literature.
good plus (+db; 4,5): as above, except for minor deficiencies and inaccuracies.
good (db; 4,0): possible larger scale of deficiencies: weaker skills at analyzing, interpreting and at expressing verbally and in writing opinion on South Slavonic literature.
satisfactory plus (+dst; 3,5): satisfactory familiarity with problems discussed during the classes; average skills at analyzing and interpreting literary texts; satisfactory ability to express verbally and in writing opinion on South Slavonic literature.
satisfactory (dst; 3,0): as above, except for minor deficiencies and inaccuracies.
unsatisfactory (ndst; 2,0): unsatisfactory familiarity with problems discussed during the classess.
