Thanks to a wide range of interdisciplinary courses, the graduate will be able to use advanced methodologies combining fields such as linguistics, computer science, statistics, psychology and cognitive neuroscience. Thanks to the acquired skills, the graduate will be prepared to take up work in the educational sector (scientific research and teaching), public opinion research and journalism as well as in professions in which knowledge of and skills in data analysis (Data Science), programming, statistics and data visualization are required. Practical competences in English, together with the theoretical knowledge about the language, its genesis, evolution and variation will develop the graduate's cultural and linguistic sensitivity, facilitating future employment in sectors related to teaching, diplomacy as well as consular and international relations. The above skills will also make the graduate of the programme valuable to companies working on natural language processing and mining, as well as to companies offering linguistic services on the Polish language in parallel with English. In addition, the technical skills acquired during studies will be useful in professions involving language processing (including speech) at a less advanced level, e.g. in editorial work, in electronic media (also in creative professions), and in advertising.
