Professional status:
A graduate of second cycle studies in cognitive science is prepared to conduct scientific and development research related to the mind and cognitive processes, and to solve multidisciplinary problems individually or as part of a team. Knowledge of cognitive science is useful in any areas involving activities related to issues of stimulating cognitive development, designing solutions in social communication, designing methodological tools or improvements in communication in the human-computer system. A graduate of cognitive science is able to both use the knowledge and skills obtained from individual fundamental disciplines, as well as to solve problems in a creative manner, for example those requiring linking psychological knowledge and computer science, theories of artificial intelligence and logic, or biology with linguistics and philosophy. This set of knowledge and skills makes the cognitive science graduate an excellent member or coordinator of multidisciplinary project teams.
