Professional status:

The bachelor degree studies (BA) graduate of Eastern Studies will be an expert prepared to work as an analyst and specialist: 1) in the national and local government, 2) in the international institutions, 3) in Polish companies cooperating with eastern markets or operating on these markets and 4) in NGOs. To achieve this aim, a graduate should have knowledge of the Russian language at level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages of the Council of Europe, and he should acquire interdisciplinary knowledge in social and political sciences, law, economics and culture sciences oriented on areas and societies of Eastern Europe, Central Asia and Siberia, as well as the skills that enabling identification and analysis of the social, political, economic, legal, cultural, ethnic and religious problems in these regions. The acquired knowledge and skills, enhanced by practice in companies and institutions operating in the East and in Polish diplomatic missions, will allow graduates to adapt to the requirements of an employer. Graduates should be prepared to study the master degree studies (MA).
