Professional status:
A graduate of the specialization in rehabilitation is prepared to work in institutions dealing with prevention, rehabilitation, and social readaptation. The graduate can also work within local communities, supporting individuals or groups in difficult life situations or experiencing marginalization, by animating their development.
Possible job positions:
- Caregiver in day support centers (sociotherapeutic, environmental, youth centers, and various types of clubs).
- Street pedagogue/streetworker.
- Family assistant.
- Foster care coordinator.
- Social probation officer (after completing the appropriate procedures).
- Police officer, municipal guard, prison service officer (after completing the appropriate procedures).
- Employee/founder of foundations, organizations, and associations focused on prevention, rehabilitation, and social readaptation of socially maladjusted individuals, educational work with children and youth, and activation of local communities.
- Employee in a local government institution engaged in prevention (e.g., in the municipal health department or crisis management center).
