The graduate receives Bachelor (licencjat) in Social Work Degree. During studies he/she acquires knowledge and skills, which prepare him/her for realizing social work. The graduate is able to analyse and assess phenomena which create a need for social benefits which come from social securities. The graduate is skilled at classifying beneficiaries. Moreover he/she is prepared for researching, diagnosing and preventing with regard to resolving social problems in environment of an individual, a family, a group and a local community. The graduate is also an initiator and an organizer of self-help activities. The person with Bachelor Degree (licencjat) can be employed in welfare institutions and other institutions of social support systems.
Pursuant to the Regulation of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of 12 July 2007 (Dz.U. 164/2007, item 1166) on education standards for individual areas and levels of education and the establishment procedure and conditions which institutions of higher learning must meet to offer multi-disciplinary programmes of study and combination majors.
