Professional status:

The graduate possesses pedagogical training, knowledge and skills required to work as a teacher, an educator or any other educational employee in institutions for children and youth with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The graduate is competent to: - work as a teacher co-organizing education of students with autism spectrum disorder, a specialist and a teacher's assistant in mainstream kindergartens, other forms of pre-school education and mainstream schools where special education is offered to students with a special educational needs statement issued due to ASD, - work as a teacher (in accordance with the possessed teaching qualifications) in special, and mainstream kindergartens; in mainstream, special, and integrated primary schools; in mainstream, special, and integrated secondary schools, special school and education centers for children and youth with autism spectrum disorder - a special education teacher in occupational therapy workshops, - a special education teacher in support centres, - a special education teacher in nursing homes, - a special education teacher in non-governmental organizations (foundations, associations) for persons with autism spectrum disorder and their families. The graduate is prepared to work in teaching and research institutions, as well as institutions dealing with the dissemination of knowledge in the field of special education, primarily in the field of education and rehabilitation (educational, social and professional) of people with autism spectrum disorder. The graduate possesses pedagogical preparation, knowledge and skills to work as: - a teacher co-organizing education of students with autism spectrum disorders in mainstream kindergartens, integrated kindergartens and other forms of pre-school education, and mainstream schools in which special education is provided for students with an evaluation on the need for special education issued due to autism spectrum disorders, - a teacher in special kindergartens, integrated kindergartens, mainstream primary school, mainstream, special and integrated primary school, mainstream, special and integrated secondary schools, special education care centres for children and youth with autism spectrum disorders, in accordance with qualifications to hold a teaching position in a given type of kindergarten, school or institution - a teacher conducting remedial classes, taking into consideration individual developmental and educational needs and psycho-physical abilities of students with autism spectrum disorders - a teacher in special schools for students with moderate and severe intellectual disabilities and with multiple disabilities - a special educator in occupational therapy workshops - a special educator in community self-help homes - a special pedagogue in social welfare homes, - a special educator in non-governmental organizations (foundations, associations) for people with autism spectrum disorders and their families; The graduate is prepared to work in didactic and research institutions and in institutions dealing with dissemination of knowledge in the field of special pedagogy, first of all in the field of education and rehabilitation (pedagogical, social and vocational) of persons with autism spectrum disorders.
