The graduate has the qualifications, knowledge and skills in mathematics and computer science to the extent necessary to teach these subjects in primary school in grades 4-8, according to the Regulation of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of 17 January 2012 on educational standards for persons preparing for the teaching profession (Journal of Laws 2012, item 131).
He is familiar with the specifics of mathematics and computer science as a science and as a subject to teach. He is familiar with theoretical issues in the field of pedagogy, psychology, didactics and the methodology of teaching mathematics and computer science necessary to implement the tasks and challenges posed by the contemporary school.
The graduate is prepared in theoretical and practical sense for planning, conducting and evaluating lessons, knows the concepts of school-taught mathematics and computer science and can present various methods of teaching them, possible at a given stage of education, using various tools, methods and forms of classwork.
A graduate of this faculty is prepared to undertake master's studies preparing for the job as a teacher of mathematics and computer science in secondary schools. Acquired knowledge, qualifications and skills allow the graduate to work in educational institutions, using mathematical and computer science knowledge.
