Professional status:
The graduate has in-depth knowledge and practical skills in the major disciplines of contemporary mathematics, and in particular in the fields of abstract algebra, functional analysis, measure and integral theory, topology and probabilistic theory. He acquired the ability to perform scientific reasoning in this areas at an advanced level of difficulty. He has the academic ability to verify the correctness of mathematical methods and tools applied in recommended solutions for theoretical and practical problems. Furthermore, he has knowledge of the pupil and the school environment, knows and understands the social and cultural processes that are fundamental to the development of a pupil's personality. The graduate is fully-qualified to teach mathematics in middle and upper secondary schools in accordance with the current directives of the Minister of Science and Higher Education on standards of teacher education.
Additionally, the graduate possesses knowledge and skills in computer science necessary to teach classes in computer science in middle and upper secondary schools.
