Professional status:

A graduate of the programme in mathematics is knowledgeable about mathematics and its applications. He is able to build mathematical models which are essential in the applications of mathematics and use IT tools when solving theoretical and practical problems of mathematics. He is qualified for a job in the institutions which use mathematical methods for data processing and data analysis as well as – having graduated in teaching programme – able to teach mathematics at gymnasiums and at upper secondary schools (according to a congruous regulation of minister competent for higher education concerning teacher education standards). A graduate of the 2nd cycle programme in mathematics is prepared to enroll in the 3rd cycle programme.
