Professional status:
A graduate of the course has acquired knowledge and skills in general education subjects as well as such fundamental subjects of philosophy as history of philosophy, metaphysics, epistemology and ethics. They have also gained specialist knowledge in the field of psychology and information technology. They are also knowledgeable about other subdisciplines of philosophy, specific traditions and particular problems in line with their interest and the specialisation chosen. Graduates can analyse and interpret philosophical texts, understand and translate foreign language texts. They can also think creatively and critically, when expressing and defending their points of view. The course prepares the graduates for various social roles, public services and/or supplement studies undertaken in other fields. A graduate of Philosophy is prepared to continue education within this or any other major. They can work in various governmental and non-governmental institutions. Having met all the necessary requirements specified by separate regulations, they are also entitled to teach introductory philosophy and ethics in both primary and secondary or high schools.
