Professional status:
The graduate has pedagogical and educational training and teaching qualifications for preschool and elementary education and can work as a teacher of children with mild intellectual disabilities in grades I-III of elementary school.
Thereby, the graduate possesses qualifications to:
-work with preschool and elementary school (grades I-III) children and (at the same educational level) to teach, educate and conduct therapy of children with mild intellectual disabilities;
-work as a caregiver in nurseries, day-care centers/kids clubs, as well as a day-care educator;
-independently plan and organize an integrated learning process based on the child's comprehensive activity;
-work individually with the child, their family, group and local environment;
-integrate therapeutic and everyday activities undertaken during classes in preschool, school, institutions providing education and rehabilitation of children with mild intellectual disabilities;
-stimulate, support and encourage the development of children with diverse educational needs;
-conduct educational and didactic activities integrating children without and with disabilities in preschool groups and grades I-III of elementary education (including children in integration groups and classes)
-independently conduct didactic-compensatory activities in preschool and elementary school education in public and integrated institutions, as well as grades I-III of special schools for children with mild intellectual disabilities;
-participate in the work of support teams for students with special educational needs
-conduct classes developing children's talents.
