Areas of Social Work 24-PCDL-OPS

The objective of the course is to make the students familiar with different areas of social work by presenting achievements in the field of social work of the representatives of chosen institutions, organizations, associations and foundations. Leaders of social work in Wielkopolska but also representatives of Polish and international organizations share their experience in giving help to groups and individuals. They present the work of the institution, its successes and failures and their own career paths, involving different possibilities of realizing professional and personal passion of giving help and support to others. Professional biographies of our guests (among them our graduates) show job opportunities of the social work graduates. This course is the summary of other practical courses of the last two years of study: institution inspection and internships.
After completing the course, students have the ability to: systemize theoretical knowledge of social problems and put it into practice in the context of different institutions, compare professional roles of different social workers, analyze the work of social service and social work also considering their further social activity.
