Theoretical models of social interaction: Homans social exchange theory, Berne transactional analysis, Goffman's dramatic perspective.
Group development and socialization processes, group norms and roles, group processes, group thinking, methods of group structure analysis: sociogram.
Basics of communication in small groups; group decision-making models.
Social influence versus manipulation, manipulation using automatisms, cognitive dissonance, and emotions - opposing them; Machiavellian, authoritarian, and dogmatic personality syndrome.
Public conformism versus private acceptance; factors shaping attitudes, methods of changing them, and immunization to attitude change.
Theories and determinants of helpfulness, relations between the recipient and the donor, methods of increasing pro-community.
Definition and types of interpersonal aggression; aggressiveness and youth subcultures; aggression theories, ways to reduce and control aggression.
Conflict and intergroup cooperation, types of interdependencies; sources of conflict; dynamics and consequences of conflict in the organization; management of the conflict situation in the organization; ways of conflict resolution; social dilemmas.
Theories and determinants of interpersonal attractiveness; three-component love theory, dynamics of a close relationship.
