Aesthetics 22-FLDL-EST
Students: 1) gain the basic knowledge of: the place of aesthetics within the field of Philosophy; historical connections between aesthetics and other related axiological disciplines; beauty as a basic aesthetical value; aesthetics as a theory of art; the role and purpose of art in the changing cultural context. 2) gain the understanding of: the role and importance of aesthetical inquiry within the field of Philosophy; the axiological background of aesthetics; specificity of aesthetic as the theory of art; the relationship between aesthetical thinking and art. 3) gain the skills necessary to: reading and comprehending scholarly texts in the field; appropriate use of key terms and concepts of aesthetics in their historical context; gathering and classifying of scholarly knowledge.
