Selected topics in Canadian literature 15-WZLK-KAN-11
This seminar-type of class is devoted to the study and discussion of the most important and seminal articles on Canadian culture and literature in order to give students a possibility to supplement and broaden their knowledge on Canadian literature acquired during their studies in Canadian specialization. Apart from the articles there are a few novels and short stories to be read, which are supposed to stimulate class discussions and further reading. Students are also asked to prepare presentations on given topics related to the chosen aspects of Canadian literature.
Reading all assigned texts in obligatory and credits will be given on the basis of students’ active participation in the discussions as well as the tests.
