Introduction to conference interpreting - public performance 15-WDTKWP-TK-11
This course aims at developing students’ public speaking skills, which are crucial in conference interpreting. We are going to discuss stress and stress coping, the importance of non-verbal language in interpreting and the role of interpreters’ vocal skills. This will be followed by interpreting practice where we will focus mainly on delivery and public speaking skills. Students will be assessed based on a final presentation and interpreting performance.
