English as a foreign language (Writing) 15-PNJA-WR-ZL-56

(First semester of a two-semester course. Next semester: 15-PNJA-WR-ZL-66.)

The aim of this course is to introduce students to the basics of English argumentative writing. Throughout the year students work towards achieving competence in composing logical, unified, grammatically and stylistically correct and convinving argumentative essays.

Methods of teaching for learning outcomes achievement

(in Polish) - czytanie i analizowanie oryginalnych tekstów anglojęzycznych ilustrujących użycie omawianych form - praca samodzielna, w parach i grupach nad poszczególnymi modułami omawianych akapitów, połączona z dyskusją na forum grupy - pisanie fragmentów lub całości prac na zadany przez nauczyciela temat podczas zajęć - analizowanie tekstów pod względem poprawności strukturalnej i językowej - regularne samodzielne pisanie esejów argumentatywnych na temat zadany jako praca domowa - interaktywne ćwiczenia oraz materiały dodatkowe na platformie Moodle
