Language processing 15-PJ-KJS-11
The aim of this course is familiarize students with basic concepts related to language and its processing in the human mind. During the course students will develop their understanding of the processes involved in visual and auditory word recognition as well as examine experimental paradigms used in research on language processing. They will also learn to interpret results obtained in the course of psycholinguistic experimentation. At the end of course, students should be able to: define and explain fundamental concepts in psycholinguistics related to memory, language and learning, briefly discuss models of language comprehension, describe a selection of paradigms used to experimentally test hypotheses concerning language processing in humans as well as list major findings from research on visual and auditory language processing.
