Introduction to teaching (module 3.1) 15-PD-NA-11
The aim of this course is to provide students with a detailed knowledge and terminology of teaching basics. The introductory part deals with analyzing contemporary discourses and approaches to educational process and studying the constructivist theory of learning and its importance in planning and organizing the education process. The second part is concerned with the structure of the educational process (goals, objectives and their taxonomies, teaching/learning methods, means, a structure of the lesson, assessment). The final part deals with a variety of aspects related to teaching, e.g. SEN students, gifted education, classroom management, motivation, collaborative learning, etc. Students are required to participate actively in class discussion, complete all tasks and pass the exam.
