Creativity in translation 15-KWT-TP-11
This course focuses on practising creative translation or transcreation. Divided into two teams, students perform translations and text corrections for a real customer. The texts are very demanding; students are faced with critical texts and the reviews of works of art and exhibitions. The course takes place in the computer room. Each class is devoted to the analysis of the text translated and corrected at home and finishes with sending the translated document back to the customer. In order to receive a positive grade each student has to actively participate in classroom activities, receive positive grades, both for the performed translations and corrections, and pass the in-class translation. Additionally, each student receives a certificate of participation from the customer.
