The course is intended to help students develop the four language skills and create an opportunity for them to use the language they have learned in meaningful situations.
The course is predominantly based on a selection of units from 'New English File' (Units 1-4) by Clive Oxenden and Christina Latham - Koenig (Oxford) .
Topics: food, sport, family, money, transport & travel, technology, describing places and people, education.
Alongside the coursebooks, students will be engaged in an array of activities in all four language skills. They will also be expected to master a broad range of vocabulary. Students will be given numerous tests to make sure they study and know how to use the new vocabulary in meaningful contexts. Additional material will be submitted by the instructor as needed.

Student can easily use in context the vocabulary introuced during classes, creates grammaticaly correct uterrances and speaches, can provide both Polish and English definiton of a word. Students are also aware of correct pronunciation.
Assessment criteria
To get the signature students have to pass a number of tests during the winter and summer term.Students will be frequently tested by means of various tests, quizzes and homework assignments. They will also be expected to participate actively in classroom activities
