"A school career counsellor" workshop 11-WASD-11-pw-s

The classes are oriented at developing competence in counselling work with students. The context of counselling activities is about legal and organizational requirements related to helping students in different types of schools. Students learn essential legal instruments regulating the organization of education and career counselling in Polish education system. Students will be acquainted with selected tools and techniques used in counselling work with students.

Learning outcomes

When the module is completed, a student can:
list and describe tasks of a career counsellor in school
list and describe essential factual and methodological competence of a school counsellor
understand rules related to creating a school internal system of career counselling
design a counselling offer for schools which is orientated at the coordination of all activities in career counselling and at the evaluation of students' counselling needs
design his/her own techniques in school counselling
