Introduction to Liguistics 09-WDJ-11
Student: 1. gains basic knowledge of: the subject matter and methodology of linguistic research; 2. gains the understanding of: historical development of linguistic thought; relationship between various linguistic theories and between language and thought and language and society; 3. gains the skills necessary to: identify and categorize linguistic phenomena, choose research methodology appropriate for a specific research question (corpus linguistics, ethnographic research, psycholinguistic experiments).
