The seminar is dedicated to the Mexican narrative of the 20th century, especially in the modality of the short novel. During the classes, a group of key texts of the Mexican narrative of the last century will be reviewed and commented - taking into account both formal-narratological aspects and their historical-cultural context. Its main evolutionary lines will be examined, beginning with the decisive moment of the 1910 Revolution and its multiple cultural consequences, until the advent of complex industrialization and modernization processes of the nation, and reaching the dawn of this century with its heterogeneity of fruits. literary. 2. Promote the knowledge of some little-known Latin American literary works.
