Learning outcomes

The student:
– is able to characterize the literary culture of Old Turks;
– understands the role of language and culture contact;
– knows omens;
– is able to distinguish regional types of runic script and types of stelae and figures;
– knows what has been retained from the old culture, what has been lost, and what has been changed.
