Norwegian as a foreign language 09-PNJNO-34
The course aims at mastering language skills at an advanced level. The course focuses on text analysis from the point of view of context, language function, style/register, and forms of argumentation. In addition, students are to gain advance passive knowledge and elementary active knowledge of nynorsk, Norway's second offcial language.
Students are expected to acquire broad linguistic competence in Norwegian. In particular, students are to expand their vocabulary with a varierty of language registers.
The course aims at perfecting students' reading and listening comprehension at an advanced level and lays foundations for the dialectology course taught in the third semestre
