Learning outcomes

After completion of the course, the student is able to:
– characterise the cultural and linguistic situation of Polish Tatars in the context of their history
– explain the rise of the Tatar settlements in the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and Old Poland
– identify the types of Polish Tatar manuscripts
– read and transcribe Polish Tatar texts
– characterise the contents of Polish Tatar literature
– describe the relationship between Polish Tatar literature and Oriental and Polish literature
