Module learning aims

The objective of the course is the acquisition of the second language of specialization. The student learns about the grammatical system of the language, broadens knowledge of vocabulary and writing system as well as the pragmatic and cultural context. After the course the student achieves the B2+ fluency level.

Learning outcomes

After the course the student:

Is able to read the literature in the specialist language (also selected specialised literature)
Is able to understand conversations
Is able to communicate fluently with native speakers on various topics (also concerning his/her own professional topics)
Is able to write various kinds of texts in lexically and grammatically diverisfied way
Is in the habit of keeping him/herself regulary informed about current political, economic and cultural events in the countries of specialiseand in consequence has broaden knowledge about countries of the respective linguistic area

Assessment criteria

Term assessment based on a series of control written tests.
The final grade based on the result of the final examination in an oral and written form.

Bibliography

Delivered by the lecturer depending on the language taught.
