The EU with all its citizens is multi-lingual and encourages language diversity. At the same time EU citizens increasingly communicate interantionally in English but is the English they use English? How come we are able to communicate in a laguage which has no native speakers?
Languge policy of the EU is one thing but its implementation is the responsibility of individual member states.
This elective course concentrates on various kinds of international and interlanguage communication patterns to increase language awareness of students and to introduce them to communication issues at large.
