History of Japanese Literature and Culture 09-HLKJ-13
Students:
1. Gain the basic knowledge of: the place of the literature in the Japaese culture; periodisation of the Japanese literature; relationships between Japanese literature and other disciplines (philosophy, religion, sociology, art, music, theatre); particutarity of the Japanese literature: basic literary terms (periods, genres of poetry, prose, drama) from the beiggining to the half of the XIX centry; the life and work of the most important Japanese poets, writers and playwriters;
2. Gain the understanding of: the place of the literature in Japanese culture; particutarity of the Japanese literature; the difference between professional and colloquial approach to the Japanese literature.
3.Gain the skills necessary to: comprehend scholarly texts on Japanese literture; use properly basic Japanese literary terminology; prepare in class oral presentations; conduct the library querry and research on Japanese literature (mainly Polish, English, Japanese); contextualize acquired knowledge; work with others.
