Student who has completed this subject:
– has basic knowledge of grammatical sub-systems of Turkic languages
– knows linguistic terminology, especially in comparative linguistics and knows research methods
– knows the synchronic and historical relationships between the Turkic languages
– knows how to use comparative and historical dictionaries, grammars and studies
– is able to find out the causes that underlie linguistic changes in Turkic languages
