Description of the content of education:
• The voice as a tool for a teacher
• Anatomy and physiology of the voice organ
• The process of voting and its types. Tech talk
• Breathing and the process of speaking, breathing circuits, appoggio
• The phenomenon of resonance, the classification of resonators and their role in normal phonation
• The methods of articulation of vowels and consonants, places of articulation
• The interpretation of the text, diction, proper phrasing, intonation of voice, expression of speech, accent in Polish language
• Causes and types of voice disorders
• Hearing and voice organ hygiene
When the course is finished the student should:
- have a basic knowledge of proper voice production;
- know the structure of the respiratory system and the process of voice production;
- be aware of the relationship between the breath and the voice quality;
- know the rudiments of correct Polish speech and of the culture of the vibrant word;
- know basic relaxation techniques as a method of coping with stress;
- understand the need to work on voice modulation, its improvement, timbre and resonance to enhance the voice quality, and improve articulation and phrasing of the text correctly;
- have the ability to read the text with understanding;
- try to use the voice in a flexible way, adapted to the location and acoustic conditions.

After completion of the module and verification of the achievement of student learning outcomes:
- has basic knowledge and knows the terminology used in voice production
- has knowledge of the anatomy and physiology of the vocal organ
- recognizes the relationship between breathing and the process of speaking
- knows the voting process, the types of voice and phonation types
- knows how do and where proper articulation of vowels and consonants occurs
- understands the phenomenon of resonance and can classify resonators and their role in normal phonation
- knows forms of statement expression and rules of Polish language
- has knowledge of the most common voice disorders
- knows rules of hearing and the voice organ hygiene and relaxation techniques
Assessment criteria
5.0 - excellent knowledge, skills and personal and social competence
4.5 - very good knowledge, skills and personal and social competence
4.0 - good knowledge, skills and personal and social competence
3.5 - satisfactory knowledge, skills and personal and social competence, but with significant shortcomings
3.0 - satisfactory knowledge, skills and personal and social competence, but with numerous errors
2.0 - unsatisfactory knowledge
