Module learning aims

The objective of the course is the practical study of English as a second language. Students develop their language skills at an advanced level. At the end of the course students reach a fluency level of at least C2+.

Learning outcomes

After the course the Student:

Students can read the literature, popular science and specialist texts in the original
Students have no difficulty in understanding spoken texts, in direct
conversation or in the media.
Students can express their ideas fluently, spontaneously and accurately.
They can rephrase what they say, and can idioms and colloquial
expressions with ease.

Assessment criteria

Requirements to complete the course:
a series of written tests, obligatory reading, oral presentations and essays.
Max. 2 absences allowed per semester.
The final grade based on the result of the final examination.
