B.A. seminar 05-SLIC-36-Arch
The B.A. seminar is an important, final course of the undergraduate study designed to give students the opportunity to do first own research work in chosen subjects under close supervision, and to acquire skills and expertise relevant to their interests. The seminar leads to preparation of written work (B.A. thesis) on subject approved by the supervisor. Approaches used by students to work on their thesis are formulated and conducted in conjunction with the supervisors.

Learning outcomes
The principal objectives of the B.A. seminar are as follows:
1) to give students the basic, first experience and guidance necessary for them to be able to formulate a narrow research proposal, and to prepare written work (B.A. thesis) based on such a proposal to a strict timetable;
2) to show students how to marshal and deal with relevant bibliography, to broaden their appreciation of the principal issues that shape a given field, and to encourage them to develop own insights which might be used in their future studies;
3) to give students the experience of attending and contributing to a weekly undergraduate seminar, and in particular of presenting their own work and discussing the issues that arise from it with an audience of other students and member of the Faculty.
