Biophysics of single molecules 04-B-BPC-60-3L
General information about the methods used for the analysis of single macromolecule. Methods which are based on the phenomenon of fluorescence : FCS, FRET and the methods of fluorescence microscopy. Presentation of the methods for the manipulation (AFM, optical and magnetic tweezers) of single macromolecule and the analysis of single ion channels (patch clamp and voltage clam).
Application of the methods for the analysis of denaturation , molecular recognition and internal dynamics of single molecules of proteins and nucleic acids.

Learning outcomes
One should know the basic phisical laws and phenomena used in the analysis of a single macromolecule; knowledge of the structural transformations of biopolymers (denatyration, aggreration, molecular recognition). Knowledge of the physical description of dynamics and biological function of biopolymers.
