Teaching Polish As a Foreing Language 03-PFL-34
A student: 1) acquires knowledge about: the methods of teaching Polish as a foreign unofficial language in the view of the methods of teaching other foreign official and working languages such as English, German or Russian; the ways of teaching basic language skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing); communicative effectiveness as the superior goal of language teaching; didactic materials for teaching Polish as a foreign language; inculturation in the process of teaching Polish as a foreign language
2) understands: the specific character of teaching Polish as an unofficial language to foreign students (together with the whole spectrum of factors that influence it); the communicative approach in teaching Polish as a foreign language
3) is able to: use basic notions and terms pertaining to the methodology of foreign language instruction; use materials for teaching Polish as a foreign language; prepare a language course; choose the optimal method of working with a group of students; prepare and conduct a lesson of Polish as a foreign language; work in a team and individually.
