Organometallic catalysis 02-KMOF
The aim of the laboratory classes is to teach the students the methodology of work on metal catalysis, with particular emphasis on organometallic compounds and training in the standard procedures for selected processes. Much emphasis is put on the mastering of techniques of work under controlled atmosphere, including the purification, deoxygenation and drying of reagents. In the classes on organometallic catalysis the following reactions are to be performed: silylative coupling of alkenes, isomerization of alkenes, ring opening metathetic polymerisation (ROMP), silylformylation of cycloalkenes, hydrosilylation of alkenes. Moreover, the students will be acquainted with the method of investigation of catalytic processes and with determination of the parameters characterising the activity and efficiency of the catalytic process.
